SIFPD Volunteer Agreement Pledge
Southern Inyo Fire Protection District
This Volunteer Agreement Pledge outlines the understanding between the Southern Inyo Fire Protection District (SIFPD) and the undersigned individual (Volunteer) regarding their voluntary service to the District.
Pledge of Commitment:
I, the undersigned, hereby voluntarily offer my services to the Southern Inyo Fire Protection District. I understand that this is a volunteer role, however stipends are given for callouts, and that my contributions are vital to the safety and well-being of the community served by SIFPD
Term of Agreement:
This agreement is for a period of two (2) years from the date of signing below. I understand that this agreement is non-binding, meaning that either I or SIFPD may conclude my volunteer service at any time, for any reason, with reasonable notice.
Training and Certifications:
In consideration for my volunteer service during this agreement period, I understand that SIFPD may provide and cover the costs of relevant training and certifications deemed necessary and beneficial for my assigned volunteer duties. The specific training and certifications offered will be determined by SIFPD based on the needs of the District and my qualifications.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
During my volunteer service, I agree to:
- Diligently perform the duties assigned to me to the best of my abilities.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the Southern Inyo Fire Protection District.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while representing SIFPD.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions, as reasonably scheduled.
- Promptly communicate any unavailability or concerns to my designated supervisor.
- Act in a manner that promotes the safety and well-being of myself, fellow volunteers, SIFPD personnel, and the public.
SIFPD Responsibilities:
The Southern Inyo Fire Protection District agrees to:
- Provide appropriate orientation, training, and supervision for my assigned volunteer duties.
- Facilitate access to relevant training and certifications, as deemed appropriate and within the District's resources.
- Treat all volunteers with respect and appreciation for their service.
- Provide a safe working environment for all volunteers.
Acknowledgment:
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Volunteer Agreement Pledge. I understand that this is a non-binding agreement for a period of two (2) years, and that in exchange for my volunteer service, SIFPD may provide relevant training and certifications at its discretion.
